Inspiration has hit!

So I found out its just really hard to do a blog about beauty products and reviews and such so I am going to start doing weekly videos with my reviews on the product that way it all just goes by a lot faster. If I do any tutorials it will be in video and in writing form because I know I like to read what to do but some people like to watch what to do. So with that in mind, I will try to start if not next week the week after. Yay!

Hair Dye!

Hey all,

So I have been wanting to make a change for a while now so I finally decided that I would dye my hair. Here's my experience with it.

The Plan :: A shade a little bit darker than my natural color with red and blonde highlights.
The Products :: Garnier Hair Color color Medium Brown I don't remember the other products I used (sorry I know, Fail!)
Results :: I like using Garnier hair color because it doesn't smell as strong chemically and it has always left my hair feeling really good. I followed the instructions and I love the way my hair turned out. The highlights pretty much failed so I wont bother mentioning them. Since I started out with blonde hair I thought the medium brown would be too dark but I actually really like it. My hair has a tendency to put a rid tint no matter what its died so I ended up with an auburn brown that I love.
I know its sideways, but my phone wouldn't rotate it and I am too lazy to do it on my computer.

Anyways, that's the color. I love it. So that's all that really matters. Yay for a successful dye!

St. Patrick's Day Nails

Hello all!

This is my first official nail polish post! WHOO! I am a huge OPI Nail Lacquer addict (it is the only brand I use) and I found this tutorial through Pinterest and it looked so neat I thought I would give it a try. The tutorial is for Water Marble Nails and I have to say I am super pleased with the results. Here is the link to the original tutorial.

The Finished Product
What You Need ::
~:~ At least three different shades of nail polish ranging from light to dark.
~:~ A small glass bowl or cup.
~:~ Toothpicks.
~:~ A paper towel
~:~ Vaseline or tape (optional)
Everything you need

How to Do it:
~:~ Fill the small bowl or cup with water, it should be room temp.
 ~:~ Drop the first shade of nail polish in, the lightest shade is best to start with, I did four to five drops of the lightest shade. Then two to three of the middle shade and finally one to two of the darkest shade.
 ~:~ Run a toothpick through the nail polish in the cup until you get a design you like. (Only use one toothpick per design, the nail polish tends to stick to the end and it end up out of the cup and on the toothpick before you can put it on your nails if you use the same toothpick multiple times.)

~:~ Dip your nail in as vertically as possible (not straight down) and sit for a minute, then pull it out and lie your fingers down on the paper towel. (I have found that the mix works for one nail at a time, if you use it a second time without re-filling with more polish it the design will be lighter.
~:~ Once all your nails are done just sit and let them dry. Applying Vaseline to the skin around the nail is supposed to help keep the polish from getting on your skin. I don't know how well it works because I didn't have any to use. Once the nail polish dried completely I let my hands sit under warm running water and used soap to peel the dried polish off my skin.

Nail Colors ::
OPI :: Did It On 'Em

OPI :: Jade Is The New Black

OPI :: Cuckoo For This Color

Later ::
~:~ After my nails had completely dried I decided I wanted to add some gold coloring to them so I painted the tips with a gold sparkle. The Color is Below.
OPI :: Glow Up Already!
Tips and Tricks ::
~:~ Nail Polish takes a long time to dry, just because the top coat feels dry it isn't necessarily. The nail polish underneath it could still be tacky and if you hit your nails it is likely they will be messed up. Therefore I give myself a good three hours set aside to do my nails. At least an hour and a half of that is just letting the polish dry so I can be extra sure before I start washing off the excess around my skin.
~:~ Don't get discouraged if it takes a couple of times to get right. This was my first time doing the marbled nails and while I am happy with the result its not perfect. I have bubbles and all sorts of imperfections in the surface of the polish. With practice I am sure it will get easier, and I am defiantly going to practice.

Well there you have it. That is everything I can think of for St. Patrick's Day nails, my experiences and tips for you if you wish to try and duplicate the process yourself. I give credit for this to Hey, Nice Nails! because they had the original tutorial I used, but the tips and tricks and opinions expressed in this post are mine. Thanks for taking the time to read and let me know how your nails turn out, if you have any additional tips and what did or did not work for you. Oh, and a happy St. Patrick's Day everyone, make sure to wear your green!

Corset update

So I went into lovers today and had them help me tighten the corset and I have to say that sadly I will need to exchange it for one size smaller. My bust size is too small for the one I ordered and even when it is tightened all the way at the top there is still room to move and that's just now how a corset should look. So wednesday I have to exchange it for another one. I also, today, went into the local piercing shop and asked some questions and I think it cemented the fact that I want to get my nose done first, that will keep me from being unable to work out at least and I am really getting in gear work out wise. If I got the belly one, as much as I want it, it will hinder me. I am not completely against the the belly button piercing because I still really want it, but I just don't know right now, I will have to wait and see.

Tattoos and Piercings

So I am the type of chick that loves tattoos and piercings as long as they remain tasteful. I have no tattoos at the moment, but I have several planned for later down the road. I know I want one on my left inner wrist, one on my lower right stomach area, and one on the left shoulder-blade going down my back. The one on my waist I am waiting for after I have kids to do because I don't want it to stretch and warp during pregnancy. The one going down my back is going to be a sort of tribute to my family, like a family tree or something so that also needs to wait until after I have kids. About the only one I could get right now would be the one on my wrist but I am chicken and I know that would hurt like really bad. For piercings I want my belly button done and my nose. I am worried about getting my nose done just because I feel like I blow my nose all the time and that would be bad for having a new piercing, plus I am trying to get in shape, so I really can't do anything that will hinder my working out which I am afraid a belly button piercing would do. I am sure It would all be OK as long as I washed it several times a day, I am just not sure I would be able to do that. But I have wanted my nose pierced for a really long time, so I figure if I do get one done that would be the one to do first since it will probably hurt the worst and its a little cheaper than the belly button. Decisions, decisions. My husband has two tattoos, one on his upper right arm and one on his lower left arm. I love the upper right arm one because its a dragon and it really suits him, the lower left is a band symbol and I am not the biggest fan of that one but he says he likes it so whatever floats his boat. He doesn't have any piercings, and I don't know if he is even going to get any, but I hope not, I am not the biggest fan of piercings on guys. No matter what he will have to wait till he is out of the army to do that. I was debating on a possible tongue piercing for myself as well but I would be way too chicken to ever follow through with that one.

I know to each their own but I really hate it when people get tattoos and you ask them what it was for and they say "I just felt like it." If tattoos are suppose to be a form of self expression and what not, shouldn't something that permanent on your body mean something to you? Piercings can be taken out at any time and leave only a small hole, but tattoos are forever, so if you want one I think you should think about it for a good year or two and if you still want it after that time period go ahead and get it. I feel that way about piercings too. I have wanted the tattoos I have in mind for about a year but I have several years before I would actually get any, so I will be sure they are what I really want. The piercings I have wanted since middle school, so I know I want them and won't regret them. Anyways, that's just my little rant on tattoos and piercings. Totally and 100 percent my own opinion, I know everyone's will differ.

First Ever Real Corset!

So as a wedding present from my now mother in law, she offered to buy me any lingerie I wanted, well I have a lot already and I just couldn't find one I loved so I asked if I could have a corset instead, she said yes and I just got it today. I love it so much! Like when I put it on I realize just how bad my posture really is because it forces you to stand up straight and you don't have to wear them super tight, mine is tightened just enough to be comfortable. But seriously, I think every single woman should have one of these amazing pieces of fashion, it really is a lost art. They are beautiful and can be worn as lingerie or a shirt under a jacket. I am just so stoked about having one, you have no idea. I love love it! There is a pic below.

I think it is absolutely gorgeous and mega comfortable, like I already said. We ordered it though This Website and there are a ton to choose from at super great prices. I can tell you I will definitely be ordering more. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Like I said earlier it totally improves posture, In fact I want to wear it right now just because I can feel my spine straightening and it feels amazing. Women, you should all definitely highly consider purchasing one. You won't be disappointed.

Update on the Shampoo Conditioner

So it does get easier to spread the more I use it and the smell isn't so bad as the initial first time. I guess I just got use to it or something. I am not sure if it is lightening my hair at all, it still all looks the same color, but I will make another check in after the bottles are empty. So far so good.
